Rapid Response Water Rescue for the Volunteer

Saving Seconds, Saving Lives

Rebuilding Rocket Buoy: A Call to Leadership

The Rocket Buoy mission remains as vital as ever.

Following its initial launch in 2019, the organization experienced an unexpected pause during the COVID era — a challenge faced by many emerging nonprofits. While operations slowed, the need did not.

Today, we are preparing for the next chapter.

Rocket Buoy is seeking:

• Dedicated board members
• A volunteer Executive Director
• Strategic partners aligned with rural responder safety

This is an opportunity to help relaunch a mission designed to place a life-saving water rescue tool into the hands of volunteer departments at no cost.

The vision has not changed.
The need has not diminished.
The structure is now ready to be rebuilt.

If you believe rural responders deserve better access to aquatic rescue capability, we invite you to help lead this next phase.

Following a tragic drowning in rural Missouri, our team at Global Rescue Systems was founded with a singular purpose. We witnessed volunteers, despite their best efforts, unable to reach a victim only 100 feet from shore due to a lack of proper water rescue equipment. This event highlighted a critical need: rural fire departments and first responders often lack the staffing, swift water rescue training, and specialized funding required for effective aquatic rescue. We created the Rocket Buoy to directly solve this shortfall, offering every victim “one last chance for survival.”

💡 Simple Operation, Minimal Manpower: The Rescue Buoy Advantage

Designed with simplicity as a core principle, the Rocket Buoy requires only one person for setup and rapid deployment. This minimal manpower requirement keeps your remaining water rescue team members safe on shore or dedicated to other critical tasks in the boat.

🎯 Reach the Unreachable: Long-Distance Water Rescue

The Rocket Buoy utilizes a powerful pneumatically charged system to launch a rescue float and line directly to a conscious, stranded victim. This system has the proven capability to reach targets up to 250 feet away, extending the reach of your water rescue capabilities significantly.

âš“ Keeps the Victim Safe: Secure Aquatic Rescue

The specialized rescue float is designed for quick grasping, and features an integrated rescue loop that can easily secure over the victim’s head and shoulders. This design actively aids the victim in keeping their head above water, providing crucial stability and safety during retrieval, even if they are temporarily entrapped.

Built for the Field, Powered by Your Existing Resources

Pneumatic Power: Powered from any available compressed air source up to 75 PSI, making it compatible with existing air-pack bottles, vehicle air supply systems, and air compressors.

Deployment Range: Maximum throw capability of 250 feet.

Operator Safety: Keeps rescuers on shore or in the boat.

Rugged Design: The float’s components are designed for simplicity, making them easy to maintain and use.

Post-Rescue Reliability: The float loop is designed to bend around a person during rescue.
